A quick mod to get more RSS subscribers

RSS is a really important aspect of any blogger's life, keeping regular readers in the loop as to when you publish new material. It's also a great way of getting one-time visitors to return. If they subscribe to your feed you may publish something of interest to them, triggering their return. Therefore it's in your best interests to get as many subscribers as possible.

Offer subscriptions at the end of articles
I started doing this after seeing it on ProBlogger.net - at the bottom of the article, offer the reader the option to subscribe there under the "Did you like this? Why not subscribe" premise. It saves them having to scroll up to find your normal button and should help your subscription stats.

Key placement
Obviously having good placement across your pages is important - I find the top right slot used on this site to be clear and consistent enough to bring in new subscribers.

Seopher.com has nearly doubled in subscribers using this philosophy (as well as the top right placement being introduced).
