Fawn, as it is written and pronounced is NOT associated with homosexuality in Brazil, although the animal (dear) is associalted. However, one does not expect that each and ever culture, with it’s intricacies and nuances, will be known. Give them a break, this naming isn’t even official. Then again, in Brazil people do not speak "brazilian", they speak portuguese.

Sorry to spoil your fun but here is an explanation to the naming scheme and why they didn’t start going alphabetically before Dapper. It also contains the official listing of possible "adjectives + animals" sorted by letter. You’ll probably find most of your suggestions are already there:
